Setting up my first Win2008R2SP1/SQL2008R2SP1 Active/Active 2-server cluster. I would think that DTC needs to be active on both servers simultaneously? I haven't been able to find any article that simply describes how, how many, DTC resources(services≈ps) need to be set up (with associated 1GB drives presumably). I'm guessing that each server would need an Active DTC service present to service the Active SQL instance(s) on that server. Is that true? If Server1 hosts Instance1 actively, and DTC, and Server2 hosts Instance2 (and 3) actively, wouldn't there need to be a DTC1 active on Server1 and a DTC2 active on Server2?
(If true presumably each DTC would need its own disk resource?)
